30 day of hygge challenge: AFTER

So, my 30 days of hygge are over and I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. I thought I would struggle more than I did and I genuinely felt my mood boosted after completing the daily challenge. It made me feel happier, calmer and more grounded. I don’t know about you, but I often struggle to do nice things for myself, so this was a nice excuse – to complete the task I “had” to set aside 30-60 minutes of my day for myself…and it felt great!

I successfully managed to complete 18 of the 30, which I am quite proud of. I struggled to fit a few of the days in because of spontaneous trips away and days out so “book nothing in today” was kind of impossible when I was exploring Ireland! I also admit that I did forget to do some of them which is understandable with a busy schedule.

I really loved taking part in some of the challenges and definitely want to try and incorporate some of them into my every day life.

Some of my favourite challenges were stretching with coffee before starting my day, doing a yoga class, doing yoga in candlelight and building my hygge nook (which I now use almost daily!)

The ones I found more challenging were meditating for 15 minutes, enjoying 1 hour of solitude and having a digital detox day. I actually completely forgot to do this one but definitely want to try it at some point.
